Swn-y-nant is a comfortable and friendly B & B situated in the quiet coastal village of Moylegrove which lies mid way between Cardigan and Newport within the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Moylegrove is an ideal stopping off point for those walking the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast Path or for those seeking a quiet retreat that is close to beautiful beaches and local amenities. We can offer a choice of double and twin rooms and children are welcome. You can relax in our quiet garden or in the guest lounge where you can watch TV or listen to music in front of a log fire on cooler evenings. |
As well as a full cooked breakfast of bacon eggs etc., we offer a vegetarian option with home made veggie sausages. Our meals are home cooked on the Rayburn using fresh local produce, and we are fast gaining a good reputation for our cooking. We guarantee you won’t go away hungry! If you would like to have an evening meal, please let us know in advance as everything is freshly prepared on the day. We offer a good choice of meat or vegetarian based dishes and are happy to cater for special diets. |

We are located in the heart of Britain's only coastal National Park which features one of the longest uninterrupted coast paths in the UK. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
This part of the trail passes through some of the wildest and most ruggedly beautiful parts of the National Park and the highlight must be the Witches' Cauldron, which is a magnificent rocky bay which seems to have been cut into the cliffs and is just a short walk from here. Of course you don’t have to walk the whole path, there are many small and wonderful sections within easy reach of here, and we can arrange lifts to and from walks. There is also the Poppit Rocket bus service which runs between Fishguard and Cardigan, and stops right outside our door. For those walking the whole or larger parts of the path we are at a convenient stopping off point and can transport luggage forward to your next destination. |
We are just half a mile from the coast at Ceibwr Bay with its small beach and dramatic cliffs where you can join the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and walk some of the spectacular route which runs a total of 186 miles, all the way from Poppit Sands in the north to Amroth in the south. A few miles inland the breathtaking Preseli Hills - the source of the Blue Dolerite stones which make up Stonehenge -offer many further walking opportunities. For cyclists there are miles and miles of quiet rural lanes and tracks where you can enjoy the amazing Pembrokeshire countryside at your own pace. We can offer secure storage for your bicycles and have equipment for minor repairs. Fishermen can fish for sea fish along the coast or can join a fishing trip by boat from Newport or St Dogmaels. Fresh water anglers can fish the famous River Teifi for trout and many other species. There are also courses in fly fishing available for beginners. For golfers there are many beautiful and demanding seaside and country courses nearby where you can enjoy a round as a guest. We can also arrange golfing breaks and holidays taking in a number of courses if required. |

This
magnificent trail runs between the villages of St Dogmael's in the north
and Amroth in the south and follows the coastline of the Pembrokeshire
National Park through some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in
Britain. For much of the time the path keeps to the cliff tops,
providing superb views of the cliffs, beaches, offshore stacks and
islands with their abundant birdlife. Each turn in the path reveals
something different - a little harbour, an attractive village, a
Neolithic cromlech, Bronze Age standing stones, Iron Age promontory
forts, a church or chapel of the Celtic saints and their followers or a
castle built by Norman invaders.
There
are a huge choice of attractions and activities all on our doorstep or
within easy reach. Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, golf or
just relaxing on the beach, Swn-y-nant is the ideal base for your
holiday in Pembrokeshire. There are also many places of historic
interest and the area is teeming with wildlife. There are many species
of birds including Buzzards and Red Kites, and Seals and Dolphins can
often be seen from the cliff tops.
