The Villa is situated in Newhaven, a delightful Marine town nestled in the South Downs.

They are 2 minutes from the local sandy beach, 1 mile from the town centre, railway station and Dieppe ferry port, with convenient bus routes to Brighton (9 miles), Lewes (7 miles) and Eastbourne (10 miles).

Location and Local Amenities

Situated in the South Downs, the location is perfect for visitors wanting to explore the area, either by car or by foot. Brighton, Lewes and Eastbourne are all in the vicinity and all worth a visit for their culture, shopping and nightlife. Newhaven is also home to various attractions especially Newhaven Fort which is located directly opposite the Villa Adriana. Also, the highly acclaimed Paradise Park and Drusilla's Country Park.
 

Locally, there are many possibilities to enjoy the winds and waters of this town, as it's home to a Scuba Centre, many Charter Fishing Vessels and nearby, a hang-gliding school (providing day courses).

Alternatively, walks across the cliffs or in the Downs are plentiful. The Seven Sisters, Seaford Head and Birling Gap are all local attractions and a definite must for visitors.

Travel Information:

Trains to and from Newhaven depart half hourly and links to London and Brighton  are convenient and regular. There are several bus routes servicing the local area and again very regular. A car would enhance your visit to the cliff or the South Downs, but not essential for the local attractions.
