Property Description and Facilities

A tiny cottage offering a perfect retreat for two. Situated on the beautiful Romney Marsh, an ideal base for walking cycling, bird watching and enjoying the wildlife and countryside.

Stable Cottage is situated in the small hamlet of Donkey Street just outside the old 12th century village of Burmarsh on the beautiful Romney Marsh. 

Stable Cottage is a recently converted detached cottage which has extensive views over the Romney Marsh.  If you are looking for peace and quiet then this is the place for you!
 

There is ample heating at Stable Cottage to enable it to be used comfortably all year round, and an extensive paddock area offers safe off road parking and during your stay you are welcome to enjoy the large garden area. 

Stable Cottage has a strict non smoking policy and is not suitable for pets or children.

Breakfast consists of a hamper delivered to your doorstep consisting of fruit juice, cereal, fresh milk, bread butter and preserve for you to enjoy in your own time in the cottage or in the garden in summer.

Location and Local Amenities

Stable Cottage is situated on its own in an unspoilt area of Romney Marsh. It has extensive views over the Romney Marsh and is an ideal base for exploring the local countryside on foot on cycle. It is an ideal location for birdwatching, walking or just switching off and taking things easy.

Stable Cottage is within 10 mins of the Channel Tunnel making day trips to France so easy. Hythe is 4 miles away and both Canterbury, Rye and Tenterden are only a short drive away. The RHDR Light railway runs along the field in front of Stable Cottage and can be easily seen from the cottage. There is a host of pubs and restaurants within a short distance offering excellent meals for reasonable prices.
