17th Century stone farmhouse with superb views overlooking open countryside.  Tastefully restored with original inglenook fireplaces, shuttered windows, four poster beds, etc.  All rooms are en suite with tv/video, cool box, hospitality tray etc. 

Close to Beamish Open Air Museum and Durham City.  Ideally located for touring Northumbria.  Walkers and cyclists welcome.  Fishing/golf/riding available locally.  Ample off-road parking.

Location and Local Amenities

Situated in an elevated position overlooking open countryside.  Country pubs in neighbouring villages provide excellent evening meals.
We are situated only 10-15 minutes drive from Durham City to the South, and Beamish Museum to the North.  It is only approximately 20-25 minutes drive to the Metro Centre, Gateshead and Newcastle, or the Northumbrian Coast.

Beamish Open Air Museum is one of the main attractions in the North East, and there is plenty to interest all the family for a full day.

Diggerland is in the next village, where people of all ages drive bob-cats jcbs etc.

Durham City with its impressive Cathedral and Castle, shops, river, etc.

We are approximately 1 hours drive from Alnwick Castle and Gardens, and only 30 minutes away from Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle.
