Property Description and Facilities

Darrynane cottages are three detached,  individual properties, set in private gardens surrounded by woods, waterfalls and the river.

The Lodge is a lovely cottage for two with its own private garden overlooking the top pond and waterfall. Steps lead from the garden and parking area into the lounge with its original fireplace and wood-burning stove. An archway leads into the kitchen and dining area. The double room boasts a four poster bed. There is a dressing area and en-suite bathroom.

Riverside cottage is a two bedroomed cottage set in its own large garden above the non flooding river. There is off road gated parking for two cars.
There is a double room with four poster bed and twin room. The cosy lounge has a wood-burning stove and leads to the galley type kitchen.

Lakeside cottage is the largest of the three, it also has two bedrooms a double and twin and a sofa bed in the lounge. It is set above the oak woods and next to the top pond and water-garden. Outside there is a parking area for two cars and patio to enjoy the sun.

All the properties are decorated to a good standard and have electric heating and wood-burning stoves. Bath and showers, fitted kitchens with electric ovens and microwaves and fridge-freezers. All bed linen, electricity and wood is included in the price.

Darrynane is a very beautiful place with woods, waterfalls and the river. There are many walks from the cottage and a short distance away on Bodmin moor and the Camel trail. Travelling around is easy with the good local road network this makes visiting the North & South coast beaches, the Eden project and many tourist attractions of the SW easy to get to. Or you can relax and enjoy the Darrynane experience of peace and quiet in the Cornish countryside enjoying the many birds and animals that frequent our woods.

Location and Local Amenities

St Breward is a old quarry village on Bodmin Moor. There is a shop and post office, supplying all provisions with coffee shop and pizza nights. At the top of the village is The Old Inn, a very good pub with restaurant.

At Wenford Bridge at the bottom of the village is the Potters Barn. A very nice restaurant.

There are many walks from the cottages and a short distance away on Bodmin Moor and the Camel trail.

The local riding stables offer moorland rides visiting local pubs if required.
The North coast beaches, each different offering lovely walks, surfing or a leisurely swim, whatever takes your fancy.
