Church Farm Stables have been converted into extremely comfortable accommodation. ETC 4 star, beautifully furnished and decorated. A real home. Ideal for family holidays or just as a couple to relax in the wonderful countryside of Dorset. Great walking from the door, as the property is surrounded by 20 acres of fields. The Jurrassic south coast is within easy reach by car, and is a great way to spend a day looking for fossils on the beach. The village of Buckland Newton has a small shop and post office, and a pub. There are many pubs in the Piddle Valley which is a short drive away. Cerne Abbas has a good shop, and pubs, but it is mostly known for the Giant on the hill! |

This area is known for its Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is wonderfully unspoilt. The countryside is rural and hilly, and just as you would image Thomas Hardy's county to be like. The Roman town of Dorchester is 10 miles approximately to the south and the market town of Sherborne is 9 miles approximately to the north. Staying at Church Farm Stables is a wonderful thing to do because you can visit many local attractions easily. The coast is about 40 minutes by car, and it is super to come back to the peace and quiet of the village. |
