Location and Local Amenities

The Yew Tree is 2 miles east of Stroud just off the A419. The 5 valleys of Stroud are separated by the green, wooded hills which are the epitomy of the Cotswolds.  It is central to the Midlands, West Country, Wales and London being served by the M4 and the M5.  The holiday home is in the middle of the Royal Triangle - Prince Charles, Princess Anne and Prince & Princess Michael of Kent all live locally and can often be seen out shopping!

The Cotswold Way and the tow path which links the Thames with the Severn are the most famous walks, but there are many more.  Leaflets are provided by the Stroud District Council.  Most of these walks take one past local hostelries.
