Location and Local Amenities

The Haytor Hotel is located in a conservation area on leafy and peaceful Meadfoot Road.

We are just 300 metres from central Torquay and the harbour with its many bars, restaurants and shops.  A short walk the other way takes you to the award-winning Meadfoot Beach and coastal paths with stunning bay views.

Travel Information - How to find us:

From the M6, M4 or A303 take the M5 to Exeter.  From the end of the M5 (Southbound) follow the A38 towards Plymouth.  After a couple of minutes the road divides.  Take the left fork signposted A380 Torquay.  When approaching Torquay, take the A3022 and follow signs for the Seafront/Harbour.
 
When you arrive at the seafront, turn left (onto Torbay Road) with the sea on your right.  Drive along the seafront past the Princess Theatre.  Turn left at the first roundabout and follow the road round to the right past the harbour.  At the next roundabout (with the Clocktower) turn left, following the signs for Meadfoot.  After 100 metres turn right at the traffic lights and follow Meadfoot Road for another 200 metres.  The Haytor Hotel will be on your right.

When approaching from Cornwall and Plymouth, first follow the A385 to Paignton then the A3022 towards Torquay harbour before following the above instructions from the Clocktower roundabout.

If you decide to take the coastal road via Teignmouth, follow the A379 towards Torquay Harbour (NOT towards the town centre) and when you pass the Bowling Alley, turn left at the next set of traffic lights. Follow Meadfoot Road (behind the former church) and the hotel will be on your right.

Booking Information:

To guarantee bookings we request that reservations are confirmed by a deposit equal to the cost of one night's booking by cash, cheque, credit or debit card.   This deposit is refundable - less any payment transaction charges incurred by the hotel - provided that notice of cancellation is received prior to 18:00 (UK local time) two days before the scheduled arrival date.  If notice of cancellation is received after this time or if you fail to arrive without giving notice, you will be liable for the cost of one night.
